The St. Cloud Police Department Volunteer Program participants are dedicated citizens of all ages that perform routine tasks in support of our officers and department employees. The Community Outreach Officer oversees the Volunteer Program. Some of the duties our volunteers perform include, but are not limited to the following: Fingerprinting for public needing various clearances for work or school, general office support including computer work, filing, document destruction and miscellaneous tasks. In addition, volunteers must pass a background check and screening process.
As greater demands are made on our full-time employees, the Volunteer Program is a great and valuable resource. Our volunteers have a variety of talents and knowledge which can a do help alleviate some of the workload for department employees. The St. Cloud Police Department greatly appreciates each and every member of our Volunteer Program.
