Do I need to create an account in order to apply online?
- You do not need to create an account in order to apply online but we highly encourage you to do so. Creating an account is a great way to keep track of all the permit applications submitted and also allows you to come back to an application that you were unable to complete.
Can I submit a building permit online?
- Yes, applying for a permit online is fast, easy and secure. Once you click the link below, then simply choose the permit that you would like to apply for, and apply. If you created an account you will be able to see all applications submitted and will receive an email confirmation informing you that your application has been received.

Can I submit a building permit in person?
- Yes, there is a building permit drop box located between building A and building B in the breezeway. Permits that are dropped in the drop box will be picked up every morning and will be placed in queue and processed in the order received along with all the online permits.
How can I pick up my permit when it is ready?
- Permits will be entered and reviewed in the order received. Once your permit has been reviewed and is approved, you will receive an email of the fees due. Once payment has been received and processed we will contact for permit pick up
- Permits that were applied for electronically will be issued electronically. A permit tech will reach out and inform you to visit the site below. Once there you, enter in your permit #, on the left-hand side, you will see a tab called attachments, from there you can print all approved plans and documents.
- Permits that were applied in hard copy form, will be contacted by a permit technician to set an appointment for pick up.
How can I schedule my inspections?
- To schedule an inspection please contact our automated inspection line at 407-979-4725.
- You may also schedule by text message, text "Schedule" to 1-844-360-1552.
- Please note that you will need your permit # and the inspection code in order to schedule. Inspections are made daily between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday - Friday, excluding holidays.
How can I pay for my building permit if the office is closed?
- You can mail a check to the Building Department to:

- **Please make sure you clearly state the permit # you wish to pay for.
- If you currently have an escrow account and would like us to withdrawal the amount due please email us at buildingpermits@stcloud.org and tell us the amount and permit that you would like us to withdraw.
Where can I call to contact the Building Department?
- The best way to contact the building department is by emailing us at buildingpermits@stcloud.org. This email is checked daily.
- If you would like to speak to the Building Official he is available at 407-552-8304.

Can I still submit development applications?
- Yes, all appointments will be handled by teleconference or virtual meeting and documents will be processed electronically. To set an appointment email us at planning@stcloud.org.

Are Public Hearings still being held if I have an ongoing development case?
- Yes, Public Hearings are being held virtually.

Business Licenses
Can I submit a Business Tax Receipt (BTR) and Certificate of Use (COU) Application online?
- All documents are being processed electronically through email at businesslicenses@stcloud.org or through regular mail.

How can I renew my BTR and COU?
- Per Florida State Statute and City Code, the City will offer the BTRs and COUs for renewal beginning July 1, 2020. For updates, please continue to monitor the City’s website.
